Data controller
Alessandra Godi, promoter of the Oceanima project, Verona (Italy). Contact: info@oceanima.com.
What data we collect
- Data you send us through the contact form or by email: full name, email address, area of interest and the content of your message.
- Technical browsing data, such as IP address and access data automatically logged by the hosting provider to keep the site running and secure.
Why we process it and on what legal basis
- To reply to your request and, if you wish, start a collaboration. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Site security and spam prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing your data is optional, but without your name, email and message we cannot reply.
Who we share data with
Data is not sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. It is processed, as data processors, by the providers of the technical services we need:
- Netlify, Inc. (United States), which hosts the site. Netlify participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of protection for data transferred to the United States.
- Web3Forms, a service of Web3Creative (Kerala, India), which receives contact form data, applies a spam filter and forwards it by email to the controller. Web3Forms states that it does not store messages; technical server logs, which may contain personal data, are deleted every two months. Its servers are located in the United States.
- The email service provider of the oceanima.com domain.
Transfers outside the European Union
When you submit the form, your data is transferred to the United States, where the servers of Netlify and Web3Forms are located. For Netlify, the transfer takes place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For Web3Forms, it takes place because it is necessary to follow up on the request you send us (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). If you prefer your data not to leave the European Union, you can write to us directly at info@oceanima.com.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed to handle your request, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless a collaboration begins or retention is required by law.
Cookies
The site does not use profiling, advertising or analytics cookies and does not embed third-party content that sets them.
Your rights
You can ask at any time for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15-21 GDPR), by writing to info@oceanima.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
In case of any discrepancy, the Italian version of this notice prevails.
